Spectacular Golf

The golf course, which was originally designed in 1974 by Joe Lee and redesigned by Bill Boswell in 1999, features 5 holes along the historic Chattahoochee River, with more than two miles of beautiful river frontage. The redesign of the Golf Course included new greens, tees, bunkers, cart paths and the installation of a state of the art irrigation system. Dramatic water features were added throughout the golf course and the holes along the Chattahoochee River were redesigned to incorporate more of the natural beauty of the river.

The course was designed with a traditional layout that is nearly 6,800 yards long.  The Atlanta Journal Constitution has selected our ninth hole as one of the best eighteen holes in the state of Georgia.  Lakes, streams and creeks are intertwined along the course, adding both beauty and playing difficulty. 

A new putting green and driving range tees were added to the Club's practice facilities as part of the renovation of the golf course. In 2012, a new short-game area was also added to the Club's practice facilities.  
     
Horseshoe Bend Country Club has hosted numerous prestigious professional and amateur tournaments including three PGA Senior Tour events, multiple Rolex National Junior Golf Championships, Georgia amateur tournaments and U.S. Open qualifiers.
